Tigo

Tigo (Millicom) provides affordable, widely accessible and readily available prepaid cellular telephony services to more than 60 million customers in 14 emerging markets in Latin America and Africa where the basic telephone service is often inadequate and where economic development and rising personal income levels are creating increasing demand for communication services.

Tigo Ghana was the first mobile operator to launch here, in 1992. Since then, Tigo has developed GSM, 2G and 3G networks and continue to provide services as a dynamic, highly visible brand, actively sponsoring critical social causes and promotional events.


Airtel

Bharti Airtel started its telecom services business by launching mobile services in Delhi (India) in 1995. Since then there has been no looking back and Bharti Airtel, the group’s flagship company, has emerged as one of the top telecom companies in the world and is amongst the top five wireless operators in the world. Airtel is operating in 17 African countries.

Airtel was launched in November 2010 in Ghana. As Ghana’s most affordable telecom operator, Airtel Ghana is driven by the vision of providing affordable and innovative mobile services to all. Airtel Ghana is currently assisting the government of Ghana in the area of education by adopting and running select deprived basic schools in rural communities. The adoption of Himankrom Methodist Primary School in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region of Ghana will provide an improved learning environment for the students through a total refurbishment of the facility, supply of learning aids and the provision of school uniforms and sandals/shoes.

Vodafone Ghana was launched in 2008, when there were only 400 sites across the country. 8 years later, this figure has dramatically increased and Vodafone is the only total communications solutions provider - mobile, fixed lines, internet, voice and data - and is currently unmatched in providing fixed line and internet services - the leader and the first choice for Ghanaians.
